Buxton is a market town in the Peak District, and is said to be the highest market town in England. It has no real Alpine character, though, just a lovely, old, English town.
I learned yesterday that there are only to be 8 Dragoons in the men's chorus, although the Colonel, Major and sometimes the Duke can supplement this sound. The number of women is more than a dozen so we are not quite balanced. In this show, though, the women do most of the work and the men are rather incidental.
